Japanese restaurant and Chinese restaurant

Talking about favorite foods with Ms J - my instructor - in English class, she asked me, "Do you often go to restaurant?"

"Yes, I userally go to restaurant to take a lunch."

"What kind of restaurant do you like best?"

"I like Chinese restaurant best."

Ms J was very surprised and said, "I know most Japanese like Japanese food best. I heared that for the first time."

I replied and explain. "I like Japanse food, too. But delicious Japansese food is too expensive for me. So I usurally go to Chinese restaurant."

Sushi, tenpura, soba, ...good ones are very expensive and cheap one is brackish. So I go to the Japanse restaurant only at special time.
