GTEC Result

I took the GTEC (Global Test of English Communication) before I started the English Conversation School's lesson.

GTEC is online test for checking English skills by hearing, speaking, reading and writing. It was developed by Benesse Corporation and Berlitz International.

Today I have recieved the score report.

1000- 800 : Advanced
800 - 650 : Upper Intermediate
650 - 550 : Intermediate
550 - 350 : Lower intermediate
350 - 000 : Elementary

COMMENTS

Can manage simple exchange necessary for such tasks as shopping and making requests while traveling and in daily life. Examinees at this level should be able to reserve a table at a restaurant, place an order using room service, buy tickets, etc.

LISTENING

Can understand about half of what is being said while traveling, etc.

READING

Can read newspaper articles of personal interest, simple email, etc., but more complex reading tasks take much time.

WRITING

Can write email and manage similar writing tasks for which the content is relatively fixed, but has trouble with more complex tasks.

SPEAKING

English proficiency sufficient to smoothly function in situations such as shopping and making reservations while traveling, etc.
